We take operator safety very seriously.  That’s why the ST-295 AI is equipped with thermo magnetic protector switches - to prevent sudden starts in the event of a power failure and door sensors to prevent operation of the saw while the service doors are open.  There’s also an optional brake kit to stop the blade within seconds of powering off the saw.  With the easy to adjust blade guard, only the length of the blade that is needed is exposed.
